Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is my fence or deck gray due to old age?
A: No. The gray discoloration on a fence or deck is mold. A new fence or deck will turn gray within one year if not properly protected.
Q: Why should I stain my fence or deck instead of just painting it?
A: Painting a fence or deck is the worst thing you can do. Painting has virtually no protective properties, has to be applied on a regular basis, and is extremely expensive and time consuming.
